How do you make your art?

Original artwork is made with a variety of wet, dry and digital mediums, like paint, collage, vintage ephemera, petals and leaves from the garden, photography and pixels. Each piece is inspired by nature, my Scandinavian heritage and an insatiable, curious imagination.

Fine art prints may be reproductions of original artwork (scan or photographs). Others are digital mixed-media creations using images and software to create original compositions. For instance, I may create a unique piece of painted paper or find a rare bit of vintage paper ephemera - scan or photograph it - then use software to ‘paint’ with it.

All artwork is 100% free of AI-generated content.

Does your artwork include mat and frame?

Original works on paper are sold without mat or frame so you may choose the custom framing options you prefer.

A basic mat and frame may be added on to your order for an additional charge.

Original artwork on wood panel is sold unframed unless indicated otherwise in the listing.

Canvas prints sold via Etsy are only sold with solid wood floater frames. Please see the listings for details and measurements.

Do you ship your artwork on paper flat or in a tube?

The very best way to ship paper artworks is in a sturdy tube mailer. Flat mailers are commonly bent in transit.

If your artwork arrives gently rolled in a tube mailer, it's normal for it to be curled. Gently (with clean hands or gloves) roll it in the opposite direction to flatten.

A professional framer will be able to expertly press and mount your artwork - worth the investment!

How long does an order take to arrive? Do you ship outside the US?

Artwork is normally ready to ship after 48-72 hours of receiving your order. Add this to the available shipping option estimates found in the product listing.

At this time, I do not ship outside the United States.

If you want your order shipped outside the U.S. please contact me to create a custom order. International shipping is not included in item pricing and may require additional packing and customs fees. A non-refundable 10% custom order fee must be prepaid to secure your custom order.

How much do you charge for shipping?

It varies!

If your order is fairly small, shipping may be free. I try to build it the costs for packing and shipping where I can.

For larger artworks, it takes considerable materials and labor to pack your item so it arrives undamaged. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout and may include handling fees to help cover the expenses related to shipping fragile, large and heavy items.

For very large artworks, I may outsource packing and shipping to a trusted art shipping partner.

Fine art prints purchased via Etsy will normally ship free to U.S. addresses.

Do you accept requests for customizations or commissions?

Absolutely!

Please get in touch to let me know your hearts desire and I'll let you know how I can fulfill it - a certain size, color palette, personalization, framing treatment or shipping method.

What if the colors of my artwork are not as I expected them to be?

My monitors and printers are calibrated to ambient light conditions of D50 (5000K daylight). Viewing under different light conditions may affect how colors are perceived by your eyes.

Viewing artwork online is subject to the color calibration of your monitor or device. No two devices are the same, so the images will appear differently. I work hard to represent the artwork as accurately as possible, but your physical product will appear with normal and expected variances.

What is your return/refund policy?

All products are final sale and non-returnable. If your order was shipped with a defect or arrived damaged, please contact me at cyn@ofinkandinsight.com and include a description and photos of the issue AND the packaging it arrived in.

Dissatisfaction based on subjective qualities like color, texture, size, weight, etc. will not qualify your purchase for return, refund or exchange. Please get in touch at cyn@ofinkandinsight.com to communicate your feedback.
